Please read this page. It explains, in plain terms, what NoDowntimeShield is, what it is not, and where responsibility sits. It works together with our Terms of Service — see section 11 ("As is" — no warranty) and section 12 (Limitation of liability).

NoDowntimeShield is a do-it-yourself tool

NoDowntimeShield is a self-service, build-it-yourself security scanner. You point it at assets you control, it runs automated checks, and it gives you information about potential security issues in plain language. That is the whole product: information and tooling that you operate. It is not a managed security service, and no security expert is watching your systems on your behalf.

The information may be incomplete or wrong

Automated scanning has limits. NoDowntimeShield:

• cannot find every issue — it detects a subset of problems that are visible from the outside;
• may report issues that are not real (false positives) or miss issues that are real (false negatives); and
• may produce findings, risk scores, or alerts that are incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong.

Treat every finding as a starting point to investigate, not as a verified fact.

It is not professional advice, and not a guarantee

NoDowntimeShield is not a substitute for professional security, legal, compliance, or insurance advice, and it is not a penetration test or a formal security audit. Nothing it produces is a promise, warranty, or guarantee that your systems are secure, compliant, or safe from attack. We do not guarantee that using NoDowntimeShield will prevent any breach, downtime, data loss, or other harm.

You are responsible for your own security

Because this is a tool you operate yourself:

• You review the findings and decide which are real and which matter.
• You act on them. We do not fix issues on your behalf unless you explicitly turn on and authorise an optional automated action — and even then, you remain responsible for the result and for the systems it touches.
• You keep your own defences — backups, patching, monitoring, and professional advice. NoDowntimeShield supplements them; it does not replace them.
• You are solely responsible for the security of your own systems and data.

No liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoDowntimeShield accepts no liability for any breach, unauthorised access, data loss, downtime, loss of profit or business, or any other loss or damage arising from your use of the Service, from any finding it did or did not produce, or from any action you took or did not take in reliance on it. You use the Service at your own risk. The full "as is" disclaimer and the cap on our liability are set out in our Terms of Service and apply here in full.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded. Where that is the case, nothing here removes a right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
