How to add your first domain

A 2-minute walkthrough of adding a domain and starting your first scan.

How to add your first domain

Welcome. Let's get your first domain scanning in under two minutes.

Step 1 — sign in

If you haven't yet, go to app.yourdomain.com/signup and create an account. You can use email + password, Google, or Microsoft.

Step 2 — add a domain

On the overview page, click Add domain in the top-right corner. Enter the domain you want to protect — for example example.com. You do not need to add https://, www., or a trailing slash.

Step 3 — confirm ownership

For your own protection, we require domain ownership confirmation. Add the TXT record shown in the UI to your DNS. Most providers propagate within 60 seconds; our system polls for up to 10 minutes.

Step 4 — first scan

Once ownership is confirmed, your first scan starts automatically. The full recon + health check typically completes in 45–90 seconds. You'll see the score appear on the overview page, broken down by category.

Step 5 — review findings

Critical and high-severity findings appear at the top of the overview page. Each finding has:

  • Plain-English description — what's wrong, in business terms
  • Technical description — what's wrong, in IT terms
  • Remediation — one paragraph your developer can implement

What next?

  1. Add any subdomains that are in scope (e.g. api.example.com, admin.example.com).
  2. Configure alerts — email is on by default, add WhatsApp and Slack from Settings → Notifications.
  3. Invite your developer — they'll get a read-only view so they can action findings.
